Those underground buildings are a very particular form of art of yours. My building process starts by thinking too much about an idea until I have something clear in mind before start layering a single piece. Even if the build deviates from the initial idea, sometimes a lot, I work over a clear objective. That's completely opposite of what you need to do there: you have little control of which pieces of rock will break or how much the terrain could be dug down. That's a complete improvisation at whatever the pickax will end revealing on the spot.
