Kind hellos, looking around few days to get the idea of outside kitchen in the front of the house. The separate build. Any suggestions for the solo player gal?

Hello Esti. I like doing outdoor kitchens for my fortress builds and outposts. These are some of the way I will make a rustic kitchen suitable for a Viking raid camp or defensive location.
For Building:
Before unlocking the Hearth, I will set out 2 grouped campfires with a gap in the center. I put a 1m raised platform between them and add rails. It’s an easy way to get a sort of camp-cookfire area. I will add a 45 degree roof and beam outward diagonally so it looks like a tent over it with ventilation gaps.
Nearby, I will build a food prep station, an open-ended building with no floor looking somewhat like a shed or small warehouse. Spread the upgrade attachments to keep the space looking full.
Decorating tricks:
Barrels and carts look good near the food prep shed, especially when lined against a single section of stick fence. The chopping block also looks good there, especially if you have boars near.
An older one, but set out a campfire and cook rack. Fill the rack with meats. Destroy the campfire. Now you have hanging meat.
Pathen the area between fire and prep with the hoe, but don’t flatten much. Keep it natural. Only use stone paving under the prep shed. Less is more.
The same works for the mead kettil. I recommend keeping that near the fires too and decorating with tankards and horns where possible.
If you can, set up the tamed boar pen near the shed and wolves near the fires.
Core wood log benches near the fires keep things looking tough and gritty. Set out attachment points to put tankards and butcher knives at the end of the log.
1m poles look great for crude path indicators. Set about 4m apart and keep them slightly crooked. Accent with a hammer.
I hope these ideas are helpful or at least spark some of your own. Let me know how it turns out.
