I've been playing the game off and on consistently since its release in 2021, but all this time, I have not been able to find a tutorial on how to place custom pickable or non-pickable objects when freebuilding, such as:
How does one do this, and how do I learn to position it? I assume it has to do with the cursor.
I have been wanting to maximize decoration for a massive build I'm doing, and cannot figure out how to place these things. I can't seem to find their itemID's.

In Valheim, you can use the freebuilding mode to place custom objects that are not normally available in the game. Here's how you can do it:
This will make all objects non-pickable, including the ones you have placed.
This will revert the objects back to their normal state.
Note that using freebuilding mode and placing custom objects can affect your game's stability and may cause issues with your save file. It's recommended to use these features with caution and always backup your save files before experimenting with them. SKAL!
Enable the freebuilding mode by pressing the F5 key. This will allow you to access the object list.
Press the O key to open the object list. You will see a list of all available objects in the game.
Scroll through the list until you find the object you want to place. In your case, you might want to look for "Skeleton_pile", "Noose", or "Stone_cairn".
Once you have selected the object, press the E key to spawn it in the world. You can then use the left mouse button to place the object wherever you want.
If you want to make the object non-pickable, you can use the following command in the console:
devtoggle nocost
This will make all objects non-pickable, including the ones you have placed.
- To make the object pickable again, you can use the following command:
devtoggle nocost false
This will revert the objects back to their normal state.

Keep in Mind that many items, when spawned in, will spawn in the air and not all of them will drop to ground level.
