Valheim Optimization: Boost FPS on Massive Builds | PUP FPS Mod

PUP FPS is a performance optimization mod for massive Valheim builds. It combines thousands of repeated building pieces into optimized clusters, reducing the load created by extremely large bases.

The mod is most effective on structures containing many repeated Grausten, wood, stone, black marble and other supported building pieces.

During our tests, performance on large bases improved from approximately 40–80 FPS to 100–200 FPS. Results depend on your hardware, graphics settings and base complexity. (rtx4070 super +r9 7900x)

Requirements

BepInExPack for Valheim must be installed before using PUP FPS.

Installation

1. Download and install R2modma
2. Install BepInExPack for Valheim.
3. Install PUP FPS.
   
4. 
   Back up your world.
   
5. 
   Start Valheim and load a single-player world.
   

Controls

• [ — combine supported pieces in the current 64×64 m cell.
• ] — restore the nearest combined cell.
• \ — toggle supported-material highlighting.
• F8 — emergency restoration of all objects.

Restore a cell with ] before repairing or rebuilding its pieces. When the work is finished, it can be combined again with [.

Highlight colours

• Blue — Grausten
• Green — regular wood
• Purple — dark wood
• Orange — Ashwood
• Yellow — logs and roundwood
• Beige/gold — thatch roofs
• Grey — stone
• Pink/red — black marble
• Cyan — Dvergr copper
• Red-orange — Flametal
• Brown — crystal and glass

Important

• The mod is intended for single-player worlds.
• Back up your world before first use.
• Do not remove the mod while combined cells remain. Restore them first.
• Doors, gates, animated pieces and incompatible multi-material objects are excluded.
• Keep only one version of PUP FPS in your plugins folder.
• Restoration is gradual. Wait for it to finish before leaving the world.
