Nice ideas and examples. I specially like the idea of the bones barely through the floor. I'm already thinking in a carpet of bones in some evil lair.

I've used bones a few times "embedded" into black marble walls, just popping out partially and surrounded (for example by arches) like if they were enclosed. The black/white contrast plus the depth of the different layers popping out looks very cool IMHO.
