Hi Mike! I like the builds you've already shared with us. I haven't tried building in debug mode either but might once we've beat the 5th boss. Moder is dead and haven't found how to locate the final boss yet. We're not in any rush. Working on our settlement is as fun as progressing in the game for me.

Welcome! I always like hearing people excited about trying new things especially when they have so much potential & others are recognizing it. Who knows where trying something new will lead you.

Loved the slow pan intros to the Flying Jewel & Castle in the Sky. I also liked the title design & textual instructions throughout the build sequences. My only real suggestion is when you speed up the video, replace the audio with an alternative track, maybe just the background music at normal pace? I didn't like hearing audio sped up for long periods of time.

Your builds are awesome and videos do a great job of documenting how they are built. I might have to try a version of the Flying Jewel after our main longhouse is completed :D

You're not late! Viking party is just getting started :D I agree, this game is one that players will try, rack up many hours and even when they take a break, they'll come back from time to time especially when new content is released.

I'm playing with my wife & younger brother. We're taking it slow both because we have to or we'll die and because we're really enjoying the exploration and building. Even though we just beat Bonemass, we were already in the Mountains, have wolf gear and cautiously explored the Plains. We're settling our first town now vs having multiple base camps.

Welcome Artyfacts! Happy to see your enthusiasm for the game, builds and the community! It is very satisfying to build in Valheim. Quick camps, prepping for next task, setting up defensive structures, expanding or deconstructing as needs come and go, decorating... It's all fun.

Speaking of snap points, you might enjoy watching this video on making Valheims snap system work for you. I found it to be extremely well presented and comprehensive. It reminded me of the show "How it's made".

Welcome! I've yet to try debug mode and won't until finishing the 5th boss but I'm constantly running out of materials. Creative mode will be fun.

Each main cabin I've built is very unique and it's not that I'm trying to make them different. I like that depending on terrain, how long we spend in one spot, available resources, types of danger around us and of course lessons learned from past builds results in a completely different living area.

Amazing game.

I have Minecraft roots and while Valheim is very different it pings similar creative nodes in my brain. I like the rapid tear down in Valheim though. Allows for quick revisions and expansions. It is also relaxing to build when it's in stark contrast to dying in the Swamp. Currently fermenting our first batch of poison resistance mead. Now I'm expanding our Ore camp to include a brewery :D

Welcome Auri! Thanks for the mead. What is one of your current building projects?

I started a sundial as a fun build but it doesn't seem to cast a shadow with a range that is useful. My sundial is pointed due north, assuming north is straight up on the map. Will watch it again when I return from adventuring and see if it can be adjusted to have a more dynamic shadow range. I think... writing this out, I may have misread which way a sundial points... I probably have it pointed due south. I must fix!

edit: Hmm. It seems I have the correct orientation. huh.

It's optional for members to save and upload downloadable build files. You can browse all Valheim builds with downloads by selecting the filter.

I did for my Reddit Alien and I think it will become more popular as more people become aware that you can even save and share them.

We wrote a tutorial on BuildShare to help.

I'm all for no cheats. I don't think I'll switch to "creative / debug mode" until we've beaten the 5th boss. Fully enjoying not rushing the game. I'm type of gamer that tries to do everything before moving on... which will likely mean we're over powered by the time we do move forward. I say we because I play with my wife, Valheimians, and younger bro, Katahdin.

I don't know if yours will be a private server but we'll likely add a server section in coming weeks. Didn't want to launch with too many "empty" sections.
