Hey there. You can include a world save file if you'd like, however, it's not required. Just be sure to take some good screenshots of your build to showcase it - anything additional is extra :)

It was definitely a tough one to judge. We don't plan on making a video, however, I am thinking of a writing an article that wraps up the contest as a whole, highlights the winners, reasons why points may have been lost as well as give some tips and tricks on how to improve submissions for the next contest. The interview will be a written-based interview as well.

I encountered issues with the latest version of InSlim; did you try older versions?
One thing I noticed in the latest version of InSlim is that it comes pre-loaded with BuildShare which I thought was interesting.

Alright so I finally found a plains area with a pillar near water. Long story short, I actually think it would have mostly worked! I was able to get the main tower connected to a pillar, but the surrounding terrain was to high so the rest of the build was set a bit low. I tried to raise the build but BuildShare was a little buggy and wouldn't let me.
Final conclusion and to answer your initial question is yes, you do need a pillar for pillar builds and depending on the surrounding terrain, the build might be slightly compromised.
I didn't expect the fortress to be so big!! It's amazing, by the way.

No, it's nothing on your end... Sorry, didn't mean to make it seem that way. I didn't have to download the latest version for no other reason than I wanted to; their updated version just isn't working as it should. Your file is perfectly fine :)

just a little update: I had to install the latest version of INSlimVML, booted up Valheim and was on our way to the Plains. While on the boat ride, I tried to access your .vbuild file through Buildshare and it crashed my game haha. So I've just today uninstalled that newer version and installed an older version (one that worked before) and will test again tonight :)

Hey! Yes, they would need to find a pillar where the build will fit. However, not every pillar is the same so that might compromise the structural integrity if it doesn't fit the pillar like it does in the original build.
The only way to know is if we test it. You can try it on your own world, on a different pillar, or if you want to send me the file (or post it) I have BuildShare and see if I can get it to work on pillars in my world.
