I'm currently working on a new small city.
Much of the outer areas, is still in planning stage at the moment.
But I've already decided on the spot for the civic area.
And I've built so far: The City hall, City plaza & Cathedral. Plus the Mayor's house.
The rest of the settlement will take some time, for me to slowly construct.
I usually prefer not to showcase unfinished work.
But I really liked how the overall look of the City hall, as built.
So I really wanted to post these preview pics & videos now.
It's based on a photo I saw of the old Essen main train station (sadly demolished).
Rather larger than what I planned out initially.
But hey, it's supposed to be a sub-node & focal point for the rest of the province's towns & villages.
And for the Cathedral, I wanted to try a round tower instead of the traditional square types.
With low buttresses flanking its sides.
As it turned out, I rather like the slightly gothic-ish aesthetics.
Anyways, the whole municipal project still work-in-progress.
Stay tuned in a few month's time.
Cheers
PS: I hope the video quality has inched up a little. Thanks to a tip from a fellow Valheimian, Ulrich Gaming
