The overview video for this Hamlet is here (youtu.be/vho8ESpSbdM)
You might catch glimpses in the background of a large Manor house, Citadel castle & some parts of the adjacent Farmlands.
The Manor house is like a queen's residence (women's château), inspired by Marie Antoinette's Petit Trianon retreat.
The Citadel is military HQ building of sorts.
These builds will be enhanced & showcased in a future upload.
But my PC was really suffering for this recording, with very choppy framerates.
As a result of so many of the above building pieces & instances happening in the overlapping region.
I might re-do this video in the future, after I get a new more powerful gaming rig.
My theme is rustic cottage vernacular, for that countryside ambience.
Along the lines of the English landscape style movement.
Plenty of starter 'golden brown' wood pieces with Ashlands black pieces used sparing as highlights.
I like the basic wood colour for the cozy laid-back feel.
Like a peaceful village provisioning for palace needs.
And I absolutely love the natural mini lagoon (which inspired me to situate the Hamlet on this side).
Simply bucolic & slightly sleepy (in a good way).
Some of the building designs here are influenced by buildings from my nostalgia.
I don't think I'll list all the buildings here, but it's extensive.
However, I will mention some personal favourites of mine.
There's a mini market alley with it's own fish smokery.
The mini harbour with a boat yard & fishermen's house on stilts alongside the fishing jetty.
As well as the medicine woman's tree hut. I mean who doesn't love a cute tree house idea from your childhood?
I knew I wanted a centerpiece F&B building, with a splendid view of the ocean.
And so you see this high-end seafood restaurant, with fresh marine catches direct from the fish farms & sea.
The mead hall serves as a town hall + feasting hall for the hamlet folks.
And the lighthouse was my first one built using wooden pieces.
Something about a timber lighthouse for that vintage feel.
The bridges were inspired by English Palladian bridges & the Helix bridge.
Some of the residences are for the Crown domain administrators.
These roles will become more apparent once I upload the adjacent Farmlands region in a later video.
The Furrier's workshop is the only building outside the walls of this Hamlet.
Since the Hunting lodge castle is nearby, I would imagine animal game hunt & trophies would be sent here.
For processing into furs & other tannery related ware.
So makes sense for this not-so-nice-smelling trade to be located outside.
There is a fort at the far end gateway of this hamlet, which I shall showcase in detail in my next video upload.
