Here we go, another Crown settlement build by me.
It's quite big, so I'm gonna break it into 2 video uploads.
By size, it's second only to a Plains city I built some time ago (which I will showcase some time later).
So the idea for this is some kind of Crown Demesne (Royal Domain).
My second major building after I started playing Valheim was a small nearby base.
Which was later massively rebuilt into a Capital palace castle complex.
And across the river canal at the rear of the palace was this pristine meadows grassland.
Pretty scenic & idyllic, so I had an idea for a supporting domain of sorts.
With farmlands & animal husbandry, as well as ancillary industry & cottage residences.
I had visited the Palace of Versailles in my youth.
And toured the huge park grounds, including Marie Antionette's Petit Trianon & her Queen's hamlet (Hameau de la Reine).
It was really beautiful. I fondly remembered the quaint pastoral setting & sheer carefree feel of the whole landscape.
So I guess this is my attempt to replicate a virtual version of this concept in-game.
So this personal monarchal domain, consists of 3 areas: Farmlands, Hamlet & Hunting lands.
For the Hunting lands, it's actually a bit further away in a nearby Black Forest.
The videos for the Hunting lodge castle with supporting Hunters' Commune, see links here (youtu.be/A5eNxGGMUkc) (youtu.be/KAAbLmDi8Vc).
As for the Farmlands (just adjacent to this Hamlet), that will be the subject of a future upload.
This showcase will be for the Hamlet.
I'm still shocked at how much I added to this settlement build.
I don't know how it happened, but slowly over time this settlement was extended no less than 2 times.
At this point, it resembles more of a large village than a hamlet.
But hey ... still great fun building it out.
Watch the accompanying video upload for the walk-through of the Hamlet buildings (youtu.be/yRa8PjvTq1k).
