I made a market place a while back, and was thinking that if there was people going to that market, they would need somewhere to live. This is the home of the woman who sells potions at the market. Restrictions in the build: purely vanilla and only materials found in-game in the first three biomes. When it comes to furniture, I sometimes cheat though ;)

Now I've tried out Valheim signs with tags for size, offset and color - and picking single chars from the character map. Really amazing stuff !! Thanks for showing it in the vid, Splash! I've had a tiny look at char formatting for signs before, but using size/color/offset for blocks ■ █ and all the other stuff charmap creatively makes for gazillons of new possibilities. ☻♫░♥ ҉ Ѿ ֎

Color picking can also be done from Windows Paint (or Paint3D).
<voffset= > , with - negative values puts the text on the signs below instead of above emoji_emotions

Anyone know the tag for horizontal offset ??

I tried with horizontal offset and couldn't get it to work. Negative values on the vertical offset worked though. The color-picker is great if you don't have the software to get the hex-codes for the colors, all of it is linked in the description under this video.

A ruby for your build, and the presentation too! Espc. the trick with the signs and the character map! Excited to try it out as soon as possible.

If you install the mod called PlanBuild, it will let you make blueprints to share or quickly put up in any world. It's the only mod I've ever used - and it also has some basic terrain tools. I almost never have it on, only seldom when needed - through R2Modman from Thunderstore.

*Edit: Planbuild also has a feature, where you can put up a 'postbox' with your build - so when you place it the player still has to get all the mats and put in that box. Probably need to run the mod for that to work though.

What this lady did using signs in the build is truly innovative, it blew my mind. A very talented builder.
