Are you tired of wasting hours searching for that one missing item you need to complete your next big project? Look no further, because in this tutorial, we will show you the importance of organization in Valheim and how it can make your gaming experience much more enjoyable. You'll learn some keyboard shortcuts and other tricks to stay organized.

Valheim is a game filled with exciting adventures, but it can also be overwhelming with all the items you need to collect and use. But don't let that discourage you, because with a little bit of organization, you'll be able to find those items in no time and focus on the real fun – conquering the game.

So, grab some wood and some charcoal, because we're about to take you on an organization journey! Get ready to learn as we show you how to keep your Valheim items in check, so you can spend more time building, fighting, and exploring the game's breathtaking world.

Let's get started! There are some keyboard shortcuts you need to learn. When an inventory screen is open, holding CTRL + clicking will instantly move the item to the other container. This saves you the time of having to drag the icon from place to place.

Another great keyboard shortcut is SHIFT + click followed by a number. Imagine you have a pile of 50 wood and you want to take 10 of it. Shift+click, then type 10 on your keypad. You'll grab a stack of 10 wood!

In addition to these keyboard shortcuts, labeling your chests is very important. You can label a chest by making a sign with 1 coal and 1 wood. Put the sign next to the chest and label it with something like "Wood", "Stone", or "Arrows". This way, you know what is in the chest without having to open it. Additionally, other players are more likely to organize things properly when the chests are labeled.

My final tip to stay organized is to create an item chute. An item chute is a simple building or tunnel where you throw all of your extra items. The items land in a pile near your storage area. This makes it easier to store the items because they all land in the exact same spot instead of being randomly distributed throughout every chest in your entire base...

Unfortunately, no matter how many chests you make, you'll often find that you need more space anyway. This is particularly true when you play with other players!

So, in the future I will make a definitive guide on how much storage you need, and the different kinds of storage categories you should use. For now, I hope you appreciate these basic organization tips!
