Hello everybody! A final base in Valheim sure does take a lot of stuff to make, doesn't it? So, I put together this guide that shows how much space you need for an end game base in valheim.

This guide assumes that you only make one of each furnace, crafting table, upgrade, etc. Add more space if you want multiple kilns, ovens, or furnaces. To simplify the measurements I use "squares" in the video; which is technically 4x4 meters in-game. For example, the workbench alone takes up "two squares".

You'll notice that the space is bigger than the item. That is because your character needs space to walk and interact with the object. You might want to "future-proof" your base by planning for 20% additional space to account for whatever IronGate brings us in the future.

Workbench all upgrades - 10 squares or 40 sq meters
Forge all upgrades - 12 squares or 48 sq meters

Magic all upgrades - 6 squares or 25 sq meters

Black forge all upgrades - 6 squares or 25 sq meters

Kitchen all upgrades - 12 squares or 48 sq meters
Storage - 9 squares or 36 sq meters
Max Comfort Bedroom - 30 Squares or 120 sq meters
Max Comfort Bedroom 5 people - 40 squares or 160 sq meters
Cartography Table - 6 squares or 24 sq meters
Wisp Fountain - 4 squares or 16 sq meters
Obliterator - 9 squares or 36 sq meters
Portals - 12 squares or 48 sq meters
Sewing machine - 4 squares or 16 sq meters
Furnace - 4 squares or 16 sq meters
Blast furnace - 6 squares or 24 sq meters
Kiln - 9 squares or 36 sq meters
Refinery - 8 squares or 32 sq meters
Dock + Cart - 16 squares or 64 sq meters
Farms + Animal Pens - 50 squares or 200 sq meters

Everything Total +/- 220 squares or 880 sq meters

I hope this helps take some of the confusion out of building your base in valheim. That way; you can focus on the fun parts!

Enjoy the tutorial :)
