Welcome to this tutorial about the deadly and daunting enemies in Valheim! We're talking about the ones with stars next to their names. Those stars let you know they mean business.

Now, if you're like me, you probably thought the stars next to their names were just for decoration. But oh, how wrong I was! Those stars are like the gold stars your teacher would put on your homework, except instead of a pat on the back, you get a beatdown.

So, in this tutorial, we're going to focus specifically on the 1-star and 2-star monsters. We'll cover what they are, what they're capable of, and how you can avoid becoming their next victim. Let's face it, getting killed by a 1-star boar isn't exactly the most uplifting experience.

Enemies in Valheim, or mobs, can spawn as regular mobs, 1-star mobs, or 2-star mobs. Additionally, not all enemies in the game can currently spawn with stars. For example, sea serpents and deathsquitos only spawn as regular mobs.

Learning how this star system works helps you stay alive. Essentially, 1-star mobs drop twice as much loot and hit twice as hard, while 2-star mobs drop four times as much loot and hit four times as hard.

Most 2-star enemies should be treated as if they will kill you in one shot. Even if you have the best gear, it is still possible to die from one hit from a strong 2-star enemy such as a fuling berserker. Pay particular attention to starred mobs when you are fighting a group because it is easy for them to land a hit on you while you avoid the other monsters.

Take those starred enemies seriously because they are some of the strongest monsters in the game. Have fun!
