This is a massive Viking Farmstead, please do check it out! Here are some if its features:
- 4 large fields, separated by walkways
- Bee Tree Garden
- Armoury /w Training Grounds (we ARE Vikings, after all! We must keep our combat training up to par)

You found 6 turnip seeds. So you plant those. They turn into 6 turnips.
Now, from there you can either turn those 6 turnips into turnip stew, or you can replant them.
If you use the cultivator and right-click to see the options when you have a turnip in your inventory, then you will see the option to plant "turnip-seed." That is where you replant your grown turnips, and they produce seeds. 1 turnip = 3 seeds.

You don't have to share one but it is possible.
