How to easily build wide colums

Nice columns are a must once you start to build bigger and flashy constructions. One of the most basic "nicer" columns is the octagonal one, made with narrow poles of wood. Relatively easy to do, cheap on resources and not too heavy on instances; they help to elevate the looks of your projects. But most methods I find out there to build them rely on free-hand placing or are a bit cumbersome. So, I keep trying until I found time ago a faster and easy way to build those columns with 100% pieces attached to snap points.

So, seizing a moment my laziness was away, I prepared this video tutorial to show you my method to build those columns, together with lots of different examples and ideas (included lots of interesting non-octagonal shapes). And that's just the beginning; the ideas I show here can be combined in many different ways to obtain other designs. Give it a try and find the perfect column for your projects!
