Home. Built without mods in the plains, then copied with plan build and built elsewhere on a server. Only includes the main building. 3 portals, inside. 3 bedrooms, 1 bath. It's my end game base. SINK THE FOUNDATIONS INTO THE GROUND so that the ground is almost level with the eitr refinery (which you should never use). This way the iron supports will touch the ground. Refill the hot tub from underneath, in the kitchen.

Builds like this are like why I go "nah" about a contest. I have my style and the players on my server love what I do, meanwhile I'm looking at theirs and this like HOW THE FUCK DO YOU DO THIS...

This feels very anime to me, Howl's moving castle or something. Love all the nooks and crannies, gonna download it to take a closer look. BF took a look and said it reminded him of The Burrow from Harry Potter.

Curious how you come up with this, do you have this as an idea and do you create that idea, do you draw it, do you use a reference pic?

Edit: lol, I see you use the brazier as a crane too :D

Edit2: Yeah I can not wrap my mind around this build, for me this is one of the best things I've ever seen, most of it has to do with having absolutely no clue how this just appears to you and you are able to execute it. I tried starting something like it, which has some similarities, but it's nowhere near this. I really want to poke your mind about this :P

Thanks so much! Thank you thankyou!

A lot of the details on this house just sort of came together by me trying stuff out, stepping back and staring at it with my eyes crossed. I started this house way back before tar was put in the game. I needed a safe place to plant barley and flax and this plains island was very isolated and safe. I had the idea of making a house with the round tower parts that you see on castles, but I had a hard time making it work with the thatch roofs and I just left it and quit playing for a while.

I came back to the game months later and tar had been put in the game. I also started watching videos by Versaugh and building stuff from his let's builds. Then the Mistlands update came out and I got really into the game again and decided to really try to build something special of my own and remembered the island I had in the plains. I just kept sculpting and massaging the building till it came out like this. I used stuff I learned from Versaugh and others like Orcwoodsilence on youtube and I ended up with this. I'm really happy with how it turned out since I think it's a lot better than most of the things I'd built up to that point. I'm glad other people are happy with it too.

Figuring out where and how to put the fires and hot tub in while venting the smoke was a challenge. I usually don't use this many build pieces to save on instances but I just threw all caution to the wind in favor of aesthetics.

oh and I google stuff like "medieval house" and "dark fantasy house" and look at pictures. I also like buildings from Witcher 3. That was what I was going for. Sort of an Oxford/Novigrad house.

Thanks for your response! I struggle with aphantasia and most of the time I have no idea where something goes and how it ends, I just try to work with some visual limitations and go from there and let the build "grow". That being said, my new try in making something like this, is taking more the shape like I want it. Not as complex as yours, but I might get a feeling for it and do it more often! Thx for inspiring me ^^

Oh, interesting. I don't have aphantasia or anything but I can sort of relate to that. I don't consider myself a visual person. I didn't have an idea or visual of what I wanted exactly in my mind, I just knew the style I wanted and the feeling I wanted it to evoke and that I wanted to use the circular tower. I put the stone base down and then the stone tower and after that, it was just brute force of building a bit and stepping back and deciding if it looked good or not. There was a lot of tearing down and rebuilding. It didn't just come out at all. Then after the outside was done, it was alot of figuring out how to use all the space inside. I think the reason it all turned out so good is because I think this is how real houses like this were built. They were iterated on over time with additions like the rooms on top. And then over time the occupants figure out how to best use all the space inside.

I'm so glad you found it inspirational as others had inspired me to build it! Your message made my day!

I wouldve at least expected you to make this with IH to remove all supports, this thing is super beautiful Apudma (Pants?)

You did an amazing job and I love it, have a sub and a ruby buddy, you earned it.

thanks so much! Glad someone likes it! It's actually one main iron support beam. I added one other support beam to the corner so in case anyone puts the building down, it doesn't crumble.
