Taverns and Inn (Part I)
The Realm of Rhovanion has been growing and thriving for more than a year now. Cities, villages, and even grand towers have been built to bring life to the world. But with every build, one must have a place where laughter for joy is shared with a tankard. Players/vikings of the Realm have built dozens of taverns/inns across their lands and now it is time to share them. Each has their own feel and design to it, offering a wide variety of style to any that are visited.
Here is part one of the Taverns/Inns series
Cursed Drakkar
-Deep in the Witherdeep Swamp, the Cursed Drakkar stands as a lone lit beacon of civilization. Rumored to be haunted by the spirits from the swamp and those that perished nearby, the Cursed Drakkar is a Tavern/Inn built atop the tall trees of the swamp. Considered as one of the most haunted areas in the entire realm, the Witherdeep Swamp still clings to the walls of the tavern refusing to let it be fully reclaimed by the Realm. Leeches stack the water below as the drakkar itself is wedged between the trees, slowly rotting away into the muck of the swamp.

Dùn Bheagain (Dunvegan) Inn
-Dun Bheagain or Dunvegan has a pub right on the dock overlooking the Elder Bay. The Inn itself is a sole oasis to the plains to the north and the raging sea to the south. It offers a safe haven to those that seek it and houses some of the finest collections of meads south of the main Inner Holds. The green theme is strong within the walls of the Inn, and the outer huts offer lodging for those who need it.

The Stag Tavern
-The Stag Tavern is atop the hill in Grunauer Grove near the center courtyard. A large tavern built within the ruined garden/tower of the old fortress, it was coined the Hunter’s Rest for those returning with trophies and game from the surrounding blackforest. Housing a mighty hall for those to sing and cheer, as well as a large meeting area on the second floor. The Stag is a place for much cheer and long nights ahead. Originally built by Lord Lyonel as an area to drink the completion of a hunt, it has now been rebuilt to a new glory of spilled wine and ale.

The Slaughtered Lamb Tavern
-Njordr Hill has one of the larger taverns in the Realm. Designed as a grand drinking hall, the Slaughtered Lamb is not only a tavern for mead, but also those that wish to share their own stories of adventure but also show off the scattered trophies of fallen forsaken minions. Still ample room to add more to the walls, the Slaughtered Lamb is adorned in the trophies of the Forsaken bosses reminding those that visit, Njordr Hill vikings are not to be trifled with.

Ironwood Brewery
-Main brewery within the city limits of Jarnvidr. Ironwood Brewery takes its namesake from the forest surrounding the city, and offers a wide selection of Troll and healing meads for weary travelers. The inner decor shows a heavy red theme to the interior and ample space for those looking for long nights of drowning out your fears or celebrating a heroic adventure. The brewery also has an observation deck to see the process of making the finest of meads.

Troll Den Inn
-Possibly one of the most unique inns in all the land. Built around an abandoned troll den, and taking its namesake from it, this Inn offers a nice restful stop for those traveling the road from Tyr’s Landing to Iverstead. The outer structure may look plain but the treasure of this place lies within the cave itself. The main tavern area is built within the den, and the halls of the once troll home have been cleansed to accommodate other vikings traveling the road.

Idunnhall Tavern
-Idunnhall’s recent renovations has led to a newer addition to the taverns of the Realm. Nestled in the heart of Idunnhall, the Tavern is a simple design that offers a warm hearth, and plenty of ale to indulge into the late nights. Hugging the meadows with a woodline, the Tavern overlooks Sven Bay.

Brynjolf Meadery
-Aegir Point’s famous seaside meadery is one of the wonders of the Realm. Situated right in the middle of town, Brynjolf Meadery is the only full production meadery with a designated brewing location. The building itself was a staple for the town for decades and fell into disrepair when Aegir was attacked. It was rebuilt to working condition early on and now holds a warm place in those that call Aegir Point home.

Imrahil Tavern
-The tavern on the harbor. Imrahil Tavern is the safe port for travelers and the numerous fishermen that call this place home. The tavern is a grand structure built of solid stone to withstand the waves of the sea crashing into the nearby docks. Considered a working class tavern, the exterior looks grand for the city but the interior shows off the numerous catches from the sea as well as the mead selection.
