This was an interesting newer design for me.
I built it recently, 1 month ago.

I'm rather happy & blessed that my map's starting continent has many beautiful rivers & valleys.
This build site was one such, with a nice scenic vista straddling the Meadows & Black Forest biome.

Honestly, I can't tell you what was my inspiration for this build.
I wanted twin sheltered docks on both sides of the river crossing for sure.
And I guess the idea for the inclined central tower just popped into my imagination.

I chose to limit the dock size to accommodate the Longship & smaller vessels, not the Drakkar.
The dimensions for the Drakkar are truly huge, and I didn't want the central waterway to be visually squeezed too tight between two huge Drakkar docks.
So, I'll reserve Drakkar docks for some of main naval bases for the future.

And it was one of the many designs I built on-the-fly.
I just went with the rough concept above, and filled in the rest of the details along the way.
Letting the geography & scenes guide my design.

Further deeper on the other side of the Black Forest biome is a place I marked out for another Land fort (not yet built).
So I decided for this strategic military location, I would need a lighthouse.
I didn't want to integrate the lighthouse directly with the bridge, due to considerations for proportions.
And thus you see an adjacent lighthouse (rather high one to match the tops of the pine trees) I built near this fortified bridge.

Anyways I really like the slightly unconventional quirky look of it.
