Grünauer Grove



-The forested village atop the Hindrun Wall range. Grunauer was aptly named as the “green riverbank, as it sits atop a hillside on the edge of the black forest. In the First Age, a fort was constructed in this location to guard the swamps below, and it had since fallen into disrepair. Part of the reconstruction of Maedhroshold, the village has seen a revitalization of its former self. Grunauer hugs the Hundrun Wall as it stood as a vigilant sight above the Pass of Gjermund and now accommodates several houses including a blacksmith, bakery, storehouse, and market square. The hall and fortress at the top of the hill has the Grand Tower, the Stag Tavern , and Catacombs. The village itself is scattered amongst ruins of its previous fortress but are still safely secure within the walls. The lordship of this village has to sole responsibility to guard the Swamp of Woe and the threats it may provide
